An evergreen tree; moderate to fast growth to 8-10 feet in height with a narrower, upright growth habit.
Produces large sized (15 to 30 oz.) green, pear-shaped fruit with an excellent flavor. The "pebbly skin" turns black when allowed to ripen off tree, similar to Hass. Bares heavily from August to January.
Self-fertile; however, best fruit set when planted with a “Type B” variety.
More cold tolerant than most.
