  • Typically we are open 8:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday.  During the holiday season those hours change: Check here for our alternate schedule.

  • Yes, we have a parking lot and there is ample metered street parking. 

  • Yes, we deliver throughout the East Bay. The fee is associated with your Zip Code. 

    If you are located outside the East Bay, speak with our staff as special arrangements can be made. 

  • We deliver on Tuesdays and Fridays in the East Bay. We typically deliver to San Francisco or Marin on Wednesdays. Special arrangements can be made for other locations.

  • Yes, a minimum purchase of $200 is necessary for delivery service. 

  • We are unable to reserve or hold plants.  You are welcome to purchase a plant over the phone and have it stored in Will Call.

  • Yes, you may purchase items and leave them with us in Will Call for up to two weeks. 

  • Yes, we are able to special order plants IF one of our suppliers has the plant available.  Special orders must be paid for in advance and are not returnable.  Special Orders in winter are difficult as the number of growers we frequent is much less than in busier times of the year. 

  • We place orders with suppliers on different days of the week.  Depending on when an order is placed it may be a week or less.  There are times, depending upon the season, when we order less frequently from some growers.   At these times, special orders may take 2 weeks or longer to receive. 

  • Yes, we carry a large selection ranging in size from 2” to 5+’

  • Yes, we carry them from late March through late Summer. Please call to be sure we have them in stock.

  • Yes we do! please let us know if you want drain holes drilled in them.

  • Yes, we sell 5gal, 7 gal, 10 gal, 15 gal, and 20 gal pots, as well as, 24” wooden tree boxes.

  • Yes, we carry galvanized steel tanks in a variety of sizes. Please let us know if you want drain holes drilled in them.

  • No, we do not carry bulk soils

  • No, we do not carry stepping stones or boulders.

  • Yes, we carry: 

    Grub & Soil Pest Exterminator (Hb – Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) 

    Flea & Soil Pest Exterminator (Sc – Steinemema carpocapsae)

  • Any healthy plant can be returned within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Store Credit is issued for returns during days 16-30 at 50% of the price paid. ALL RETURNS MUST be accompanied by your RECEIPT and are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Plants removed from their pots are non-returnable. Special ordered plants and sod are not returnable and credit will not be issued.

  • Yes, within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Store Credit is issued for returns during days 16-30 at 50% of the price paid. ALL RETURNS MUST be accompanied by your RECEIPT and are subject to a 10% restocking fee. However, we do not accept returns of sod, chemicals, fertilizers, sale items, special orders or holiday items.

  • Any ailing plant can be returned for 50% CREDIT WITHIN THE FIRST 30 DAYS from purchase. You MUST return both receipt and plant to receive a credit. Sod is never warranted.

    NEGLECT IS NEVER WARRANTED.

  • Yes. You can send us pictures (close-up and full plant images) via email, click here for the address.

    You can also bring in your pictures and clippings or leaves showing insects and/or damage (in a sealed plastic bag, please!).

  • Yes, we offer three levels of discount including:

    • 10% with a single transaction of $2,000 or more.

    • 15% with a single transaction of $4,000 or more.

    • 20% with a single transaction of $6,000 or more.

  • • In winter we offer a 20% discount on bareroot roses and fruit trees.

    • An ongoing soil discount is “Buy Four or More Bags and Save 10%”. Seasonally, a soil special may be offered as ‘Buy Three and Get a Fourth Free”.

    • We periodically have mark downs on special pottery items or store products.

    • Periodically other specials may be offered at: www.eastbaynursery.com/coupons

  • We do not accept returned nursery cans.

  • If you purchase a plant, container and the soil in a single transaction, we will repot it for you at the time of purchase. Saturdays are excluded and other days during peak busy times may also be excluded. You must be able to fit the repotted plant in your vehicle and take it with you the same day. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer services such as repotting for your existing plants.

  • No, we do not offer maintenance or arborist services.

  • Yes, please write to us describing your organization and the date of your silent auction or fund-raising event.

  • Yes, we carry Christmas trees beginning in mid-November until we sell out. We carry Noble, Natural Noble, Nordman, Silver Tip, Douglas Fir and Fraser. If you previously purchased a tree stand, you can bring it in and exchange it for a new one.

  • Yes, our staff will be able to secure the tree to your vehicle.
